We made it. Happy New Year!

We all know what that means, it’s time for making (and breaking) our New Year’s Resolutions. In fact, did you know that nearly 80% of New Year’s Resolutions don’t make it past February? CNN research found that close to eight out of ten people will abandon their resolutions within two months – and that’s just people who will admit to it!

With a fresh start to the year, it’s natural to think up some new goals to work towards. We’re here to give you a few marketing resolutions to make this year, goals that are so crucial, you’ll want to aim for them 12 full months or more.

We call them the six Cs.

Resolution #1: Connect With Customers

Developing a relationship with customers and clients is extremely important. Commit to getting to know your audience on a personal — and individual — level.

Resolution #2: Collect Quality Data

(See above.) To better know and serve your customers, you have to have quality data. This will allow you to fine-tune your marketing efforts to meet and exceed their expectations.

Resolution #3: Concentrate On The User Experience

Keep the focus on your client when creating virtual content. To improve this experience, maintain a website that is original, insightful, easy to navigate, and visually appealing.

Resolution #4: Commit To Being Relevant

Trends move quickly, keep yourself up to date on popular topics so that your content stays fresh, relatable, and applicable to social trends and pop culture news.

Resolution #5: Challenge Yourself To Try Something New

It’s easy to stick with marketing tactics that you know are successful. In 2022, take a step out of your comfort zone and try a new approach. Because you already know your customers so well (resolutions one and two), consider a new way to engage them.

And lastly,

Resolution #6: Create Contingency Marketing Plans

This one is important. A marketing contingency plan will outline the who, what, when, and why in case of an emergency or crisis. This document will be helpful in keeping you and your team organized and focused when the unexpected happens.

And, if we’ve learned anything from 2020 and 2021, it’s to expect the unexpected.

Good luck in 2022!
